Overrated for research
I wanted to love Perplexity but it got facts wrong on topics I know well, then cited links that contradicted it.

Search done right
Perplexity gives me a direct answer with citations I can actually click. For research it's replaced a dozen open tabs. Would recommend to a colleague.

Decent research tool
Great for surface-level answers, weaker on niche topics where it pads with generic filler. Still a net win for me. Cautiously recommended.
