Great for hands-free
Amazon Alexa has gotten noticeably better. Routines work well and it understands me even in a noisy kitchen. Would recommend to a colleague.

Does the simple stuff
Amazon Alexa is fine for timers and music but struggles with anything beyond simple commands. Follow-up questions confuse it. Cautiously recommended.

Improving steadily

Barely usable
Amazon Alexa misunderstands me constantly and can't handle anything but the most basic commands. Feels years behind the competition. Looking at alternatives.

Good for the basics, but it mishears me often enough to be annoying. Privacy settings are a bit opaque too.

Great for hands-free
I use Amazon Alexa every morning for the weather, news, and my calendar. It's quick and gets commands right most of the time.

Hit or miss
Half the time Amazon Alexa nails it, the other half it says it can't help or pulls up a web search I didn't want.
